Day 14: Matthew 8:18-27, Mark 4:35-41, Luke 8:22-25, Matthew 8:28-34, Mark 5:1-39
Our Lord demonstrates great power. Power of nature and power over spirits. He is the Almighty, Alpha and Omega.

Day 13: Matthew 13:1-23, Mark 4:1-25, Luke 8:4-18, Mark 4:26-29, Matthew 13:24-32, Mark 4:30-32, Matthew 13:33-35, Mark 4:33&34, Matthew 13:36-53
Why did Jesus speak in parables?
Why wouldn't He want everyone to understand?
How types of ground were really saved?

Day 10: Mark 3:13-19, Luke 6:12-19, Matthew chapter 5 - chapter 8 verse 13 Day 11: Luke 7:1-17, Matthew 11:2-15, Luke 7:18-30, Matthew 11:16-19, Luke
Sorry I missed posting yesterday.
Today I was in awe of the way Jesus handled the Pharisee Simon when He was thinking ill of Jesus for allowing that kind of sinner to anoint Him.
Have a great weekend, my next post will just be the info for day 12.

Day 9: Matthew 12:1-8, Mark 2:23-28, Luke 6:1-5, Matthew 12:9-14, Mark 3:1-6, Luke 6:6-11, Matthew 12:15-21,Mark 3:7-12
I am truly grateful for the frank manner in which Jesus speaks to the Pharisees. I enjoy seeing how the different authors are given different detail to share, such as the man with the withered hand and Dr. Luke telling us which one it was.
There is a solemn reference to humanities leaning toward possessions over people when the Pharisees see the value in helping a sheep out of a ditch but not a man who needs to be healed.
I get excited as Jesus stood up for his disciples while they picked barley wheat on the Sabbath. He also stood up for the man with a withered hand. I know that when I follow Him, He stands up for me.

Day 8: Matthew 9:9-13, Mark 2:13-17, Luke 5:27-32, Matthew 9:14-17, Mark 2:18-22, Luke 5: 33-39, John chapter 5
I find it very interesting that all four Gospels give the account of Jesus being asked about fasting.
Also, Jesus statements were very clear about He and the Father being one. What a doctrinal exposition in Luke 5!

Day 7: Matthew 8:2-4, Mark 1:40-45, Luke 5:12-16, Matthew 9:1-8, Mark 2:1-12, Luke 5:17-26
Also add Mark 1:35-39 to this reading. Isn't it interesting that Jesus keeps saying, "Don't tell anyone what I've done for you." And then they "blaze it abroad" (KJV) they tell everybody.
Why do you think Jesus tells them not to tell anyone what He did?

Day 6: Luke 4:16-30, Luke 5:1-11, Mark 1:21-39, Luke 4:31-44, Matthew 4:23-25
Just a couple things to think about as we read.
1. Did Jesus have other disciples than the twelve?
2. When Jesus read in the synagogue in his home town how was their initial reaction different from their final response?
I found it interesting that they heard him speak graciously. They enjoyed hearing about the fulfilling of the prophecy for Messiah. They were angered that their own unbelief was called out. They tried to throw Jesus off a cliff. He miraculously walked right through them. This account shows God the Father's protection on Jesus until the time was right.
