Day 9: Matthew 12:1-8, Mark 2:23-28, Luke 6:1-5, Matthew 12:9-14, Mark 3:1-6, Luke 6:6-11, Matthew 12:15-21,Mark 3:7-12

I am truly grateful for the frank manner in which Jesus speaks to the Pharisees. I enjoy seeing how the different authors are given different detail to share, such as the man with the withered hand and Dr. Luke telling us which one it was.
There is a solemn reference to humanities leaning toward possessions over people when the Pharisees see the value in helping a sheep out of a ditch but not a man who needs to be healed.
I get excited as Jesus stood up for his disciples while they picked barley wheat on the Sabbath. He also stood up for the man with a withered hand. I know that when I follow Him, He stands up for me.
