Day 3: John 1:29-34, Matthew 4:1-11, Mark 1:12&13, Luke 4:1-13

Look for the subtle differences in the account of Jesus being tempted. Each author provides a little different detail that helps us understand all that is taking place.
What does it mean that the angels ministered to Jesus?
Have a wonderful day!

Day 2: Luke 2:40-52, Matthew 3:1-17, Mark 1:1-10, John 1:6-18, Luke 3:1-22

People thought John was the Messiah because of this radical message. The Kingdom of Heaven was so close the people could touch it.
John spoke with authority, so much so that he called Herod's relationship with his brother's wife, "SIN". What a man.
I could not imagine being the one who baptized Jesus. What an honor and privilege. I imagine John had as much wonder in that moment and maybe more, than when the priest (his father was one) would stand in the temple and offer sacrifice.
As we think about character traits that we would like to have what are some that John exhibits that you would like to own?

Day 1: Matthew 1:1-38, Luke chapter 1, Luke 2:1-39, Matthew 2:1-50

Today is the day to begin!
As you read today let me give you some things to look for and think about.
1. Were all of Jesus ancestors pure blooded Israelites?
2. How many generations were in between Abraham to David and David to Jesus?
3. Try to find a characteristic from one of the participants in this history, that you find honorable and worthy to be emulated.
4. I see two very different moods among God's people at the coming of Christ. One mood by those who knew the Christ was born and another mood among those who did not.

I look forward to seeing your comments as we Walk through the Gospels together.

Lord, I ask for understanding as we read Your Word. I beg you, Holy Spirit to open our Spiritual eyes so that we may learn life, godliness, and how to live out holiness. Give us endurance to read everyday, faithfulness to stick to the commitment, and a mind to remember to do it. Be magnified in our lives, Oh Holy God, by the showing of Yourself to us. Jesus be real to us as we read about your descent into humanity.
In that precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,
AMEN
